Pastor’s Letter

Pastor’s Letter

Sunday 31st May 2026

G’day church,

– This Sunday we’re into chapter 2 of Ruth with our Trinity Network Senior Pastor Paul Harrington. If you missed chapter 1, have a listen here to set the context for this Sunday.

– Speaking of this Sunday, being a 5th Sunday and with a few families away, we’ve decided to combine R-2s and 3-6s. They’ll go out to where R-2s normally meet in the Community Centre Hall.

– The Marshman’s will be one of those families away this Sunday as I’m taking 10 days annual leave to refresh after a big start to the year. We look forward to seeing you again on the 7th, and if you’ve got any questions or concerns in the meantime, feel free to contact Qian at Qian.Tan@trinity.church or Heidi at brighton@trinity.church

– Reflecting on last Sunday, Paul shared an encouraging update on the growing number of youth and young adults around the Network. In our local context, praise God for the 9 newcomers who have joined us on Friday nights at Youth@Marion so far this term! Some of them just came across us via our website or other indirect connections, while others have been invited by friends. Many of them have had no prior contact with church or Christian things. All of them have had a great time and expressed a desire to come regularly. Please join me in asking God to graciously bring these young people to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, while also growing the confidence of our current youth to invite more of their friends along too! As our numbers grow, we’d love to recruit two more youth leaders from Brighton. It would also be tremendously helpful to have someone who could ‘host’ Friday evenings: unlocking, helping with setup and pack up, organising supper and the like. Could this be you??

– Paul also shared how the site redevelopment at Trinity Church Adelaide presents a wonderful opportunity for the spread of the gospel in our city and state. First and foremost, it allows for refreshed facilities for ministry and brings about 1000 students to live on the back doorstep of the church. However, it also provides the opportunity to establish a fund to resource gospel ministry into the future, particularly if we can fundraise for the renovation and restoration of the heritage buildings at 88 North Terrace. If you’d like to find out how you can make a tax-deductible contribution to this restoration work, then email finance@trinity.network to enquire.

Have a great week resting in the sovereign grace of our Lord, who works in all things for the good of those who love him.

In Him,

Simon
