Each week in our service we pray for our church, our network and our world. If you would like to let us know about prayer points for the Pastoral Care Team to be praying about please fill out our contact card here. We also have a prayer meeting each Sunday before church from 9-9:30, which you’re always welcome at.
Our Church | Today we’re praying for our staff and leadership team. We can thank God for the opportunity for Simon to have Long Service Leave and pray as they come to the last few weeks of that time that God would be granting them good rest and refreshment. We can pray for Matt and Paul as they continue to coordinate ministry at the church and seek to care for people well. Let’s also remember our leadership team and pray that God would grant them wisdom and discernment as they make decisions and plan for future ministry.
Our Networks | Today we’re praying for the Trinity Churches in the Northern part of the city (Modbury, Campbelltown, Para Hills and Golden Grove). These churches are currently running a combined LIFE course – an opportunity for people to come and hear the gospel. Let’s pray that material would be presented clearly and people might decide to follow Jesus as Lord. We can also pray for those churches as they continue to teach and reach out into their communities that God would bless them.
Our World | Jesus said the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few and encouraged us to pray for workers to go into God’s harvest fields (Matthew 9). So let’s pray that we would look for opportunities to do the work of sharing Jesus with those who are willing to hear. We can pray that God would grow our confidence in the truth of the good news and that we would be willing to take opportunities to speak to others. Let’s pray too that many would be willing to serve and take up ministry positions to equip God’s people well as they seek to do this.
