Hello Church,
Taste and See kicks off in two weeks – on Thursday September 4 at 7pm. I’m hearing about lots of encouraging conversations with friends and of bold prayers for those conversations to translate into people hearing the good news of Jesus. Keep praying for each other in this! If you’ve got someone you’d like to bring along, please don’t forget to register via our website so the Taste and See team can plan more effectively. (details and rego here).
I’ve got two more things to encourage you to pray for:
- Trinity Youth meets tomorrow night at Temple Christian College in Mile End. Roughly 150 youth and leaders will be gathering from around the Trinity Network for a great night of fun, food, music and a bible talk for youth. Our local youth group, Youth@Hove, has been going really well this year with growing friendships and great engagement with God’s word. Linking up with the other youth groups from around the Network once a term is a real highlight of the calendar. Our youth ministry is one of the strongest expressions of our gospel partnership as a Network of churches, and it’s a joy to see what God’s doing amongst our young people.
- CV Conference is coming up in September – on Friday 26 to Saturday 27th. This is a conference to help people consider how they might proactively explore greater engagement in gospel ministry. This brings to mind scenarios as diverse as the decision to head to Bible College on the way to vocational ministry, or exploring a passion for cross cultural mission overseas, or giving a couple of days a week to ministry in retirement. You can find out more here. Please join me in praying that God would raise up many more workers for his harvest field and shepherds for his sheep, and that CV would be a really helpful part of that process in the lives of many people from around Adelaide and SA.
Cheers,
Simon
