Prayer Points – November 2

Prayer Points – November 2

Each week in our service we pray for our church, our network and our world. If you would like to let us know about prayer points for the Pastoral Care Team to be praying about please fill out our contact card here. We also have a prayer meeting each Sunday before church from 9-9:30, which you’re always welcome at.

Our Church |  Today let’s pray for our hearts to be generous for the sake of the gospel. We long for our community and our world to have the opportunity to hear and respond to the good news that Jesus is Lord. Let’s pray this motivation would grow in each of us and in our community together that we might be excited to glorify him through things like our time, the way we talk to people, and our finances.

Our Networks |  We’re praying today for the November Kairos course at Mobilong Prison. We’ll have the opportunity in the sermon today to be hearing from Colin who’s leading this team. Let’s pray for the team who are working hard to make preparations for the week. Let’s pray that many would attend the course. Let’s pray that as those who attend grapple with things like forgiveness and the opportunity to have a relationship with God, that they would respond to the good news by trusting in Jesus. Let’s pray for great partnership from local churches and from Christians around the world as the course runs. Most of all let’s pray that God would glorify himself through this course.

Our World |  Let’s pray for poor, oppressed and marginalised in our world. In 1 Corinthians 1:26-31 we’re going to see today that often it is those who are really down and out that God chooses to use. So for those who are feeling ‘lowly and despised’, we can pray that God would be kind and show justice in their plights, and we can also pray that God might show his grace to many and that they might be able to ‘boast in the Lord’.
