Dear church,
This Sunday we celebrate the 20th anniversary of Trinity Church Brighton (or Trinity Bay as it was originally known). It’ll be a special church service and a relaxed lunch. If your surname begins with A to L, please bring a dessert. If your surname begins with M through to Z, please bring a main course dish. We don’t have facilities for reheating food, but any food that needs to be refrigerated can be taken through to the kitchen at the back of the Community Centre (where Trinity Kids head out each Sunday). Drinks, plates and cutlery will be provided. Remember to bring any necessary serving utensils and label anything you want to get back at the end of lunch. Please also ensure all food is nut-free.
Please also set aside an extra 45 minutes after church on Sunday March 15 for our AGM prayer meeting. This will be a great time to hear about some of the ways that God has been at work in our midst this last year and to prayerfully look forward to his ongoing work amongst us in the year to come. We have one position on the Leadership Team up for election, with nominations due by this Sunday March 1. See the attachments below for relevant information.
Both these occasions will be great reminders that God chooses to work through ordinary people like us, which is something I still find quite amazing and tremendously encouraging! What a great reason to get together in celebration and prayer!
