Pastor’s Letter – December 25

Pastor’s Letter – December 25

Hello,
What a great day we had on Sunday! We had around 25 guests with us, many of whom haven’t been to church before. Some of them were school friends. Others were long-time family friends who finally accepted the invitation. Some of our Taste and See guests returned, one of them bringing their family with them.  Many of them commented on how warmly welcomed they felt. The kids had a ball!
Thank God for the joyful privilege of proclaiming the good news of Jesus together! Particular thanks to those who gave generously of their time to setup on Saturday and served with music and kids activities. And praise God that we get to be part of such a wonderfully welcoming community of his people, where we can invite guests confident that they’ll have a positive experience of church. Let’s pray that God might water the seed of the gospel that has been planted in each of these lives. Let’s keep thinking creatively about how we reach people with the good news in the year ahead.
I hope you were also encouraged in the good news of Jesus too. With the simple reminder that he came for all of us, the naughty and the nice, the doctor we all need to heal our relationship with God. Praise God for Jesus! A few people have asked for the links to the story and the songs, so I hope they might be an ongoing encouragement to you:

Finally, a reminder that we’re meeting at 9am on Christmas Day and then not meeting on Sunday the 28th, but will be back at 10am on January 4th.
God bless,
Simon
