Hello Church,
Happy New Year! As you read this, I’m away on annual leave with Peta and the kids but we are looking forward to being back with you soon. We’re so thankful to be part of the church family at Trinity Church Brighton and we’re excited to see how God will be at work through his people in this year ahead. We have so many tremendous opportunities to reflect the love and grace of God: In the way we love and care for one another despite all our difference and diversity; in the warmth of welcome we offer to all, regardless of their background; in the winsome yet bold proclamation of the good news of Jesus both when we’re gathered together and when we’re scattered in the world; in our joyful sacrifice of time and talent and treasure for the sake of the kingdom and the glory of God. All of this is already happening, but I’m confident there is room for growth too. Please join me in praising God for the profound hope that he has given us in the Lord Jesus, asking that we would be so gripped by this hope that it would overflow in lives of courageous faith and sacrificial love as we make our way through 2026 together.
Your brother in Christ,
Simon
