Dear church,
I’ve got three dates, an article and a song to bring to your attention:
– Monday February 23 at 9:30am, women’s morning tea at the Marshman’s. No need to bring anything and no need to RSVP. Just come along!
– Sunday March 1, our 20th Anniversary celebration. It’ll be a special church service and a relaxed lunch.
– Sunday March 15, our AGM prayer meeting. Our Leadership Team met last night and are excited to be able to share some of the ways that God has been at work in our midst and how we might prayerfully look forward to his ongoing work through us.
– This article caught my attention! For one thing, it’s a brilliant reflection from a young man who has just completed Year 12. But the particular thing that caught my eye was the way this connects with what we’ve been learning about God the Son, who has existed for all eternity and is the very means and purpose of creation.
– Finally, speaking of Jesus as the eternal Son of God, here is a link to a song from Michael Morrow who serves on the pastoral team at Trinity Church Adelaide. We’ll be getting to know this one later in the year when we come to our series on the Nicene Creed, but this is also a tremendous reflection on many of the things we’ve been learning from Colossians.
In Him,
Simon
