Each week in our service we pray for our church, our network and our world. We also have a prayer meeting each Sunday before church from 9-9:30, which you’re always welcome at.
Our Church: We’re praying in thankfulness for a group of new people joining us regularly at Trinity Church Brighton in the past few months. We pray that they settle in well, feel welcome, grow in their faith and build connections with other members of our church.
Our Networks: Let’s pray for Lauren and her ministry with Evangelical Students at Flinders Uni. Give thanks to God for an excellent Connect Camp this past week, with talks from Philippians that encouraged students to build a resilient faith with their eyes fixed on Jesus. Pray for all the new students that attended, that they will prioritise connecting with a Christian community on campus and get excited for building mission-minded friendships with classmates. Also pray for campers who are still investigating Jesus, that their experience on camp will encourage their curiosity and they’ll come to see the truth, beauty and goodness of the gospel.
Our World: We pray for the upcoming state elections, asking God to move amongst political leaders for the sake of the marginalised and vulnerable. Teach us to be people who show kindness and mercy in our everyday lives.
