Hello Church,
This Sunday we continue our preparation for Christmas with a fun and encouraging all-age service with lots of opportunity for the kids to get involved. Young and old we’ll be reminded of the joy of knowing the King and Saviour for all people.
Last Sunday I posed a question for us to think about as we prepare for Christmas: what does it look like for you to be BOTH genuinely content because Jesus has come AND deeply discontent because Jesus is still to come? I hope you can continue to ponder that! In Jesus we know God is with us, and yet we pray ‘come Lord Jesus come!’
Next Sunday (the 14th) we bid farewell to the Winters. This will be a special service leading into a shared lunch and a significant time for our church family. Please plan to bring a nut-free salad or dessert to share (surnames A-M bring a salad, surnames N-Z bring a dessert), and stay for a great time of fellowship.
Finally, Sunday 21st and Christmas Day will both be excellent times to bring friends and family to church. The 21st in particular will be geared for visitors with activities for the kids and an engaging look at what Christmas means (after all, what would happen if Santa learned the gospel?)
Cheers,
Simon
