1. Paul and the Christians in Rome

2. Three reasons why Paul is eager to preach the gospel

1. For I am not ashamed of the gospel
2. For it is the power of God that brings salvation to all who believe
3. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed.
   • The righteousness of God:
     • God’s character: God is righteous
     • God’s actions: God does righteousness
     • God’s declaration: God gives righteousness
   • …by faith from first to last
