Pastor’s Letter – October 12

Pastor’s Letter – October 12

Hello Church,

This Sunday we’re praying with the Psalms again – reflecting together on the majesty of God revealed in Psalm 8. Then next Sunday after church we’d love you to plan to stick around for lunch followed by a special church family prayer gathering. With the recent announcement of the Winter’s upcoming move from Brighton to plant a church in Goolwa, there is no better way for us to respond than in prayer. Please put Sunday October 19 in your diary to bring a plate of food to share for lunch after church, and then stick around to pray together. We’ll keep the food simple: Only bring things that can either go in the Community Centre fridge or sit out on the bench for a couple of hours, but don’t bring anything that needs to be kept warm or reheated. We’ll have napkins, plates and cutlery, but please bring your own serving utensils if they are required. It’s also helpful if you can make sure the food is all nut-free to care for those who are anaphylactic to nuts.

While you’ve got your diary open, put down 7:30-8:30pm, Monday November 10 for another gathering to pray (this time it will just be prayer without the food). We have the great privilege of approaching the throne of grace with boldness in adoration, confession, thanksgiving and asking him to be powerfully at work in us and in his world. For his glory and our great joy.

Cheers,

Simon
