Pastor’s Letter – September 18th

Hello church!

Three short things to let you know about this Sunday:

  • Music Jam Session: If you play an instrument or enjoy singing, come join the jam session after church this Sunday. We’d love to grow our music team and perhaps this might be a helpful first step for you to get involved!
  • Morning Tea: Praise God, we’re able to re-start morning tea on a regular basis. Aside from enjoying one another’s company, this is a great way for us to welcome newcomers and create space for gospel conversations after church. If you’d like to contribute, please send me a brief email to let me know.
  • Esther: This Sunday we kick off four weeks in the wonderful book of Esther. This is a superbly crafted account of an amazing but lesser-known part of the history of God’s people. It will be really helpful to pre-read at least chapter 1 and 2 (or listen here). And take a few minutes to watch the great overview of Esther from The Bible Project.

As God teaches us in Romans 15:4, we learn from all of God’s scriptures because “everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.” I look forward to growing in that hope together!

Cheers,
