G’day Church,
Thanks for your prayers for Taste and See. We had our second session last night and it was great to hear the buzz of conversation as people engaged in discussion around the topics raised and to have some great questions put forward in Q&A at the end of the evening. We read the story of the Prodigal Son together from Luke 15 and reflected on what it teaches us about the nature of sin, God’s overwhelming love for us and his joy in bringing us home. Please keep praying for our guests, that this coming Thursday they’d come to a deep awareness of God’s grace for them in Jesus’ death on the cross.
And with February now behind us and March underway, we’re not far away from Easter, which falls at the end of the month. What a great chance to invite friends and family to come with us to Meet Jesus. On Good Friday to Meet Jesus, the Suffering Servant. And on Easter Sunday to Meet Jesus, the Risen Lord. We’ll have cards out this week to put in the hands of your friends with an invitation to come and join us at some point over Easter. And we’ll have cards to remind us to be praying for those friends, that God would do what only he can do – helping people realise they really do need to Meet Jesus, and as they do, to realise that he is indeed the one they don’t just want to meet, but to really know.
